Specifications

The system is PLC-controlled, automating key components such as valves, lighting, heaters, analyzers, and level switches, while allowing operators to switch to manual control when needed. Software updates are delivered via an internet connection, ensuring the system stays up to date.

Each system consists of four sump (preparation tanks) and four main research tanks, each main research tank can hold 14 × 6L subtanks, or any other configuration as requested. Each main research tank individually equipped with a heater, and the subtanks have an individual temperature sensor. The research tanks can be independently switched on or off to suit operational needs. Lighting can be adjusted per research tank individually.

Each research tank has a standard capacity of 225 liters, with dimensions of approximately 150 × 80 × 25 cm. Subtanks are standard six liter tanks but can be changed if requested. Tank dimensions and capacity can be customized to meet specific project requirements.

All systems are operated through a single touchscreen interface, regardless of the number of systems installed. The interface is internet-connected, allowing operators to securely monitor and manage the facility remotely through a web browser.

Maintenance requirements and schedules are clearly displayed within the system interface, supported by step-by-step instruction videos for key maintenance tasks. Systems are supplied with essential spare parts, enabling technicians to quickly replace components when required.

The system can operate using a direct seawater supply, with appropriate mechanical and biological filtration, or with prepared artificial seawater. This flexibility allows the system to be adapted to different locations and water sources. Water of the research systems are not being reused as this could impact research results, unless requested.

Keep critical systems running, even during a power outage. The system can automatically switch to backup batteries or generators, while intelligent energy management prioritises essential functions such as temperature control and minimum water flow when energy availability is limited.
